In Quake
It's been a long time since I laid my hands on the G.T.K. Radiant, the editor for Quake III. I have named this level Narrowed, reason being the level has very narrow passages, it's not a very creative name but it does tell you about the concept behind the design. I have used some teleporters and jump pads to make the gameplay a little more exciting. This is a deathmatch map. Below is a video showing the map.
In UDK
It is a VCTF gameplay in UDK, the level has lots of trees and grass with some particle systems in the middle showing the path across between the bases, you have 2 vehicles to use and once you fall in the water, someone has to kill you to get out of there. You can see buildings beyond the mountains of the play area. The basic idea is an arena within a city, much like the Monaco and Singapore racetracks in Formula 1. This arena was created especially to let people fight within this area, so law & order in the city is maintained. Whoever wants to fight can do it here, minimizing casualties and property damage in the city. It has four pillars in the corners of the map which help in creating positions like sniper spots.
