Horizon Forest Gameplay
This video shows the gameplay planned within the level. The characters and assets are from UDK, which will be changed to custom characters in a few days. There are kismet sequences involved to create an RPG style of gameplay. The objective of the level is; the player has to find a certain person and kill him. You can see that initially there is no AI bot near the house, the bot spawns only after interaction with the other AI bot who provides the information about the guy the player is searching for. In the end, the video shows two situations, the player kills the bot and bot kills the player. I'm grateful to Saravanan and Karthikeyan for helping me with this project.
Basic level blocking
Finished working on my basic level blocking for the game concept, still texturing needs to be done.
Forest Level
I have completed a forest area for the game concept. This forest is part of the level. The forest area is known as the "Guilt Lane". This area is named this way because of an incident that happened, when the boy and the girl (still to be christened :p) were still children.
The story goes like, the children were playing around and this girl tells the boy that she will cook breakfast for him. Well the girl was inexperienced with cooking as she is a child, but she put all her heart and prepared the breakfast for the boy. The boy also being a child did not know that he should tell the girl the breakfast is good even though it tastes bad to please the girl, he came out with a very honest reply stating the breakfast is not good. Hearing this the girl felt very sad and started to cry, by the time he realized that his statement had made her sad and he needs to apologize to her, the girl started running. The boy chased after her but couldn't catch up to her. Seeing the boy is coming after her, the girl ran faster and she did not notice the horse carriage coming on the road. She fell down and the carriage ran over her. The girl had died, and in memory of this incident, this forest area is called "Guilt Lane". It has been 10 years since this incident has happened and the girl alive now is a clone of the dead girl. This lane was used as a route to travel before this incident had happened. After the incident the road was closed and trees where planted to form a path. Below are a few screen shots of the completed area.

Level in editor
This picture shows the level inside UDK with fog removed. The spaceship forms the entire world and the forest level is within the ship. The ship is textured with two colors black and white, and wood colors in certain areas.
Horizon
Life seems boring, monotonous, complex and a drag at times, but it always takes a turn for something exciting or tragic. Currently my life is going through a phase of creating a game for a prototype in UDK. In simple terms, my life just took a turn towards the exciting. The passion for games has caused this decision and I'm very happy about it.
Currently I'm writing a game concept which involves "Love". Love is the main objective for the game, how the boy proposes to the girl is the gameplay. This is a third person point of view game and involves different classes of characters. Each character has their own abilities and each of them contribute to the gameplay in their own way. The game has lots of action and I'm hoping people will like it. The gameplay is a mix of hack and slash, shooter, puzzles and players can use magic also a means of going through the challenges of every level. Some of the story elements have been taken from an anime called "Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon".
